Night Owls.....

I took pictures of the children in their jamies tonight. They were both night owls. This is very true for Jack as he seems to get up a lot and Alex just wants to stay up.

Moving Jade to her new House in Rock Hill and Water Baby

Well Sunday Scott, Alex, Jack and I, along with Jade loaded the truck and headed to Rock Hill. Jade will be a junior this coming fall and it is time to move out of the dorm and into a place to call home. Well Jade and her friends found a house close to campus and their lease started June 1st so Jade wanted to make the move as soon as possible as she is taking a summer school course starting the 2nd week of June. So we started on our adventure. I didn't think to take any pictures of leaving Hanahan or Moncks Corner. Kim (Jade's good friend from Winthrop and soon to be housemate) and Jade rented a storage unit. Its amazing what you can accumulate in a dorm room.

Here is the truck with the stuff from the storage unit.

Don't know if you can tell in this picture but Jade's car was packed. Scott and I decide we were only making one trip to the storage unit and we got creative on how to get everything in the truck and her car. We did get it all in one trip. It was hot and we were getting tired.

After we came back from the storage unit Alex found this Swifter and played the rest of the day with it cleaning. She was such a trouper.

It was hot. So Scott got the girls with the hose. Alex had a ball.

Ok I took some pictures of the house in shambles...Jade will have to take pictures and update me on how things look once all her boxes are unpacked. Only two of the girls moved into the house this weekend the rest will come throughout the rest of the summer.

Soon to be Kim's room but for now it has all of Jade and Kim's stuff mostly Jade's she had a lot of stuff but Scott and I said Kim owes us big.

Jade's room...Yes her bed is made. I told her to make her bed, that a good Girl Scout always makes her bed first. I know when she finally went to bed she was happy I got her to make her bed.

Kitchen.....a work in progress as the whole house is right now.

The den/living room....Jack check out the floor for the girls he approves that when he starts to crawl it will be a good place to go visit. Both kids were great for a long day.

The back door...

So the next adventure...we loaded up into the truck and headed to Staples for Jade to buy a desk then we went and met Uncle Chris, Abbey and Christie for dinner on the lake. Uncle Chris and crew came by boat so after dinner we went to check out Uncle Chris boat. We put Alex in a life jacket as she was getting to close to the edge of the boat and wouldn't you know it not a few minutes later she ended up in the water. Uncle Chris jumped into the lake with shoes, wallet and cell phone all on his body. All is well and we thanked Uncle Chris for jumping in.

After the excitement we went back to Jade's house and put together a desk we left there and got home at 2:45am. Needless to say I didn't get a picture of the desk we put together because it was midnight and we were just leaving.

It was a long day.

Water Front Park

Saturday April 12, 2008....

After getting Alex's hair cut we wanted to do something. Not sure what that would be we started by going by Scott's office so I could see what he had done and where he wanted pictures. Then we went and had lunch at the Blue Rose Cafe. Alex went to the potty three times while we were there. Then Alex wanted to see water. So Scott drove us downtown and we walked around Water Front park. Alex had a blast. She wasn't sure of the Pineapple water fountain until some other children started playing. As you can tell we weren't 100 percent prepared to go in the water so Alex's skort got wet and she went with out it for awhile. She also tried to climb a tree after a squirrel. It was a nice relaxing afternoon. CLick on the picture to see it bigger. I am too tired to night to figure out how to make it bigger.

Alexandria's First Haircut

Well we took Alex for her first real haircut. Daddy had taken her back last year and got the fuzzes trimmed off with out mommy. But Saturday (April 12, 2008) we had Alex's hair trimmed so she doesn't look like she has mullet any more. Alex was such a big girl and sat in Aunt Melissa's chair and did not cry or complain at all. After it was all over Aunt Melissa and Emily another girl in Aunt Melissa's shop gave Alex a chocolate donut. It was a great experience for our first true hair cut.

Before Aunt Melissa started...eating her froot loops....

She was getting started...

Beautiful!

We love Aunt Melissa for cutting our hair and making us beautiful.
